What We Into This Week #2
Happy Wednesday! I’m with the Bitcherton crew doing some dope stuff and fun goofs, but that’s besides the point. Big week for fans of sports whose teams are still in the playoffs, but for me, I’m just living life. So, nothing exciting to report on that front. Getting closer to dropping the first short story and I’m really excited about it. It’ll be a multiparter because I can’t let anything end. That being said, let’s begin.
🎼Music
Drake dropped three albums, but for some reason I am a grown ass man from Compton who is trying to stay loyal to a man from my hometown who doesn’t know me. I did see 1900Rugrat complain about his beat being stolen by Drake and I gotta be vulnerable and say that I do in fact fuck with Kodak White. It’s very hard to get me to celebrate a white rapper, but I gotta respect a white goon who replaces “nigga” with “cracka”. So this week, I’ve been bumping the album that his intro was stolen from Porch 2 the Pent.
🎞️Movies
Another week I was travelling and didn’t get the chance to head to the movies, so I’ll suggest a classic. Gurren Lagann movies, Childhood’s End and The Lights in the Sky are Stars. If you watch both movies it covers the whole series which is my favorite anime of all time.
📺TV
I’m finally playing catch up with the Invincible animated series and am digging it. I’m pretty far behind because I missed season 2 and fell off, but the chatter online piqued my interest and drew me back in. Fun, bloody, and fresh. I dig what they’re cooking up and the voice talent they’re pulling out is next level. Can’t get enough of the show right now.
🧩Hobby
I’ve been pulled back into Diablo 4 with their new expansion, Lord of Hatred. When D4 first dropped my biggest praise was about how it was such a fun couch co-op game. Em and I were doing digital double dates with friends queued up on their PS5s. I still love it for the same reason. The dopamine hit the loot gives and the deep story keeps me invested. I haven’t run any of the new classes yet, but am excited to check out Paladin.
